Nacho Cheese Sausage Dip
This is a family recipe that we have made every year at Thanksgiving for years. We like to eat it after our huge meal. It is delicious and simple to make. It also makes a large batch, so it is perfect to share. It would make a great dip for your Super Bowl party, tailgate party, or to take to a potluck. All you have to do is warm it in the crockpot. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Preparation:
1. Chop a small onion.
2. Brown the sausage in a frying pan. When it is mostly cooked, add the onion and the minced garlic and continue cooking it until it is brown and the onions are mostly transparent. Drain the grease.
3. In a crockpot, add the Sausage, Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, Diced Green Chiles, Diced Tomatoes, and the Velveeta Cheese. I like to dice the Velveeta Cheese so that it cooks down faster.
4. Stir everything together in the crockpot. Turn on low and let it cook for 4-5 hours. Or you can turn it on high and cook it for 2-3 hours. Stir occasionally.
5. Serve with corn chips. Enjoy!
