This is a delicious and simple dinner that can easily be made on a busy weeknight. It is very family friendly and makes enough that you can have it for another meal on an even busier night! My family loves this recipe and I make it often. It isn’t as time consuming as lasagna, but it is just as delicious!

Ingredients:

16 oz. Penne Pasta

1 lb. Sausage

2 tsp. Minced Onion

1 tsp. Minced Garlic

1 24 oz. jar Spaghetti Sauce

3 Tbl. Brown Sugar

4 Green Onions, chopped

8 oz. Cream Cheese

1 c. Sour Cream

¼ c. Milk

1 tsp. Garlic Salt

Dash of Pepper

2-3 c. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Preparation:

1. Cook the Pasta according to package directions. Drain.

2. While the pasta is cooking, in a frying pan, brown the Sausage till it is cooked through. Add the Minced Onion and the Garlic. Cook for 3 more minutes. Drain the Sausage.

3. Add the Spaghetti Sauce and the Brown Sugar to the meat. Turn the temperature on low and simmer while you prepare the cheese sauce.

4. Chop the Green Onions.

5. In a medium bowl, combine the Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, Mozzarella Cheese, Milk, and Green Onions. Add the Garlic Salt and a dash of pepper.

6. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

7. Place the Penne noodles in a 9x13 glass baking dish. Top with the Cheese sauce. Then put the Meat sauce on top. Sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella Cheese.

8. Bake for 30 minutes, or until bubbly.

9. Serve and enjoy!
