Instant Pot Creamy Chicken Orzo

This meal is a family favorite! My kids always devour this meal and ask for more. It is such a simple meal to make and I love to make it on a busy night. I love to use my Instant Pot and this is a perfect meal for it. The pasta comes out perfect every time. This meal has the perfect flavor. It is healthier than most pasta dishes. I hope that you love this recipe as much as we do!


1 lb. Sliced Mushrooms

1 Onion

4 Tbl. Salted Butter

3 lb. Chicken Breast

16 oz. Orzo Pasta

2 c. Water

3 Tbl. Knorr Chicken Bullion

2/3 c. Heavy Whipping Cream

Parmesan Cheese for garnish


1. Chop the Onion and slice the Mushrooms.

2. Turn the Instant Pot onto Sauté. Let it heat up. Melt the Butter and sauté the Mushrooms and Onion in the butter until they are soft.

3. While the vegetables are cooking dice the Chicken.

4. Spread the Mushrooms and Onions out on the bottom of the Instant Pot. Then layer the diced Chicken on top.

5. Pour the Orzo Pasta on top of the Chicken. Pour the Water over the top and try to get all the pasta wet. Sprinkle the Chicken Bullion on top.

6. Close the lid and set it to pressure for 6 minutes. When it is done do a quick release of pressure. Then add the Cream and stir everything together.

7. Serve and enjoy!
