Crumbl Copycat Double Fudge Sandwich Cookies
These are a delicious cookie recipe with dark chocolate cookies that are soft and moist with a delicious fudgy frosting on the inside. If you are a dark chocolate lover like me, then you will absolutely love these cookies! They are simple to make and will be a huge crowd favorite! These cookies taste better than Crumbl’s originals and they are so much cheaper to make yourself! Anyone can make these and have them turn out. You can make these for girls’ night out, potlucks, or for your family. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!
Ingredients:
Chocolate Cookies
½ c. Salted Butter
¾ c. Brown Sugar
1 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
2 oz. Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
½ c. Dark Baking Cocoa
2 tsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Vanilla
½ c. Milk
2 c. Flour
Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes
Fudge Icing
½ c. Salted Butter
½ c. Dark Baking Cocoa
¼ c. Milk
2 tsp. Vanilla
3 c. Powdered Sugar
Drizzled Chocolate
1 c. Chocolate Chips, melted
Preparation:
1. Cream the Butter, Sugar, and the Brown Sugar.
2. Add the Eggs and mix them in well.
3. Melt the Unsweetened Baking Chocolate. You can do it in a pan on the stove on a medium-low heat, or you can melt it in the microwave. I prefer melting it in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time on a medium power level.
4. Add the Melted Chocolate, Dark Cocoa, Baking Powder, Salt, and the Vanilla. Mix well.
5. Add the Milk and the Flour and mix well.
6. Refrigerate for 3 hours until the dough is firm.
7. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a baking sheet and roll the cookie dough into balls about 1 ½ inches in diameter. Place on the baking sheet.
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Leave the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes to cool. They will continue baking. Then move the cookies to a cooling rack to cool.
9. Make the frosting. In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the Butter, Dark Cocoa, Vanilla, Milk, and the Powdered Sugar. Mix it until it is smooth and creamy.
10. Frost one cookie, then place another cookie on top. Repeat with the remaining cookies. Then drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the sandwich cookies if you want to add to it. You can omit this step, as it is not necessary.
11. Serve and enjoy!
