This is one of our family’s favorite breakfast recipes. I always make a special birthday breakfast for each of my kids and they always ask for Chocolate Chip Waffles. I don’t make these very often because they aren’t the healthiest breakfast, but we sure do enjoy them for our special occasions! These waffles are simple to make. The are crispy on the outside, but soft and fluffy on the inside with melted chocolate mixed throughout. They are delicious by themselves, or you can add strawberries and whipped cream. You can also serve these with various syrup flavors. Try them with my Butter Syrup recipe or with the Buttermilk Syrup recipe. They are both delicious! I hope you love them as much as we do!
Preparation:
1. Preheat the Waffle Iron. I turn my temperature to medium-dark.
2. In a large mixing bowl combine the Flour, Salt, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Eggs, Buttermilk, and the Oil. Mix well until it is smooth.
3. Add the Chocolate Chips and mix them in.
4. Pour the batter onto the Waffle Maker and let it cook until it is crispy.
5. Serve and enjoy! You can serve these with Strawberries and Whipped Cream, Butter Syrup, or Buttermilk Syrup. They are all delicious!
