Soft and Gooey Caramel Popcorn
This recipe really is the perfect recipe for caramel popcorn. It is the perfect gooey caramel that makes you lick your fingers and scrape the bowl to get every last drop. My kids love to make this popcorn when we have a family movie night. We lay out a blanket on the floor, get some bowls, and dive in. I like it best when it is warm and fresh, but if it is covered it will stay good for several days. It is a fun family treat and is finger-licking good!
Preparation:
1. In an air popper, pop 1 c. of un-popped popcorn kernels. You will need a big mixing bowl to hold this much popcorn.
2. I like to sift through my popcorn after it is popped to remove any un-popped kernels so that someone doesn’t accidentally bite one and hurt a tooth. (Speaking from experience).
3. In a saucepan, melt the Butter and add the Karo Syrup, Sweetened Condensed Milk, and Brown Sugar.
4. Cook this on medium heat and stir constantly. When it is just barely starting to bubble, remove it from the heat.
5. Pour the hot caramel over your popped popcorn and stir until it is completely coated.
6. Serve and enjoy!
