This is a family favorite recipe that everyone loves! I like to make them to send with my kids in their lunch, or for a family trip to the mountains. They are so simple to make and store really well.

Ingredients:

6 c. Rice Krispie’s Cereal

1 c. Sugar

1 c. Karo Syrup

1 c. Creamy Peanut Butter

6 oz. Chocolate Chips

6 oz. Butterscotch Chips

1 Tbl. Creamy Peanut Butter

Preparation:

1. Butter a 9x13 glass baking dish.

2. Measure your Rice Krispie’s and put them in a large mixing bowl.

3. In a saucepan, combine the Sugar and the Karo Syrup. Cook this over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and it is just starting to boil.

4. Stir in the Peanut Butter and mix it well. Pour the mixture into the Rice Krispie’s and stir until everything is coated and mixed well.

5. Pour the Rice Krispie’s into your buttered pan and pat them down until they are even across the whole pan.

6. In a sauce pan melt the Chocolate Chips and the Butterscotch Chips over a medium-low heat. When they are melted and smooth add the Peanut Butter and stir until it is blended well.

7. Pour the Chocolate mixture over the Rice Krispie’s and let the chocolate harden.

8. Slice and then serve and enjoy!
