Pumpkin Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
I was introduced to this dessert when I was a kid in Elementary School. They were often served with school lunch during the Fall months. I always loved them, but never had a recipe to make them at home. I finally have a delicious and moist recipe that you will love! My family now gets to enjoy this delicious cake.
Ingredients:
Pumpkin Cake
2 c. Sugar
2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Cinnamon
4 Eggs
2 c. Canned Pumpkin
¾ c. Oil
Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes
Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 c. Salted Butter
8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 tsp. Vanilla
¼ c. Milk
4 c. Powdered Sugar
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Sugar, Flour, Salt, Vanilla, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Eggs, Pumpkin, and the Oil. Mix them until they are mixed well.
3. Grease a 11x15 sheet pan and spread the cake batter evenly.
4. Bake the cake for 20-25 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
5. Cool the cake completely.
6. Make the Cream Cheese Frosting by combining the Butter, Cream Cheese, Vanilla, Milk, and Powdered Sugar. Mix it until it is smooth and creamy.
7. Spread the frosting evenly on the cake.
8. Serve and enjoy!
