I love anything with pumpkin, and these scones are to die for! They are light and fluffy with the perfect pumpkin flavor and seasoning. They are topped with a simple glaze and are delicious either warm or cold. My family all went wild over these when I made them! They all had to make sure that they were all split very evenly because they loved them so much. This recipe is also quick and easy to make! It takes minutes to put them together, and they don’t take long to bake, so you can have them ready in under 30 minutes. These will make the perfect fall breakfast or brunch. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

Ingredients:

3 ½ c. Flour

8 tsp. Baking Powder

¼ c. Brown Sugar

½ tsp. Cream of Tartar

½ tsp. Salt

3 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Nutmeg

½ c. Butter

1 c. Pumpkin

½ c. Buttermilk

Bake at 450°F for 12 minutes

Glaze

1 ½ c. Powdered Sugar

2 Tbl. Butter

2 Tbl. Milk

1 tsp. Vanilla

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.

2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the Flour Baking Powder, Brown Sugar, Cream of Tartar, Salt, Cinnamon, and the Nutmeg. Stir together to combine.

3. Add the Butter and stir it in with a fork while mixing it into the flour mixture. It will be a little chunky. You don’t want it to be smooth.

4. Add the Pumpkin and the Buttermilk. Stir together until it forms a ball of dough. Then knead the ball of dough until it is mixed together and it all adheres together.

5. Roll out the dough into a circle. Then cut it into 8 equal triangles. Place them on a baking sheet.

6. Bake at 450°F for 12 minutes, or until lightly golden on top.

7. While the pumpkin scones are baking, make the glaze. In a small mixing bowl combine the Powdered Sugar, Butter, Milk, and the Vanilla. Mix it until it is smooth and creamy.

8. Remove the scones from the oven and drizzle the glaze over the top.

9. Serve and enjoy!
