Key Lime Sugar Cookies

These sugar cookies are so delicious and simple! They almost melt in your mouth. They are so soft and are just perfect. They are almost like a really soft shortbread cookie. Add the Key Lime Frosting and they are amazing! These cookies really are so good! They are just as good as any Crumbl Cookie you will find. My family loves it when I make these cookies. They don’t stay in the house for long. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Ingredients:

Sugar Cookies

1 c. Salted Butter

1 c. Sugar

1 c. Powdered Sugar

1 c. Oil

2 Eggs

1 ½ tsp. Vanilla

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1 tsp. Cream of Tartar

4 ½ -5 c. Flour.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes


Key Lime Frosting

1/2 c. Salted Butter

8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened

1/2 c. Sweetened Condensed Milk

4 Tbl. Lime Juice

5 c. Powdered Sugar

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.


2.In a mixing bowl, combine the Butter, Sugar, Powdered Sugar, and Oil. Cream these really well.


3. Add the Eggs and mix well.


4. Add the Vanilla, Baking Soda, and Cream of Tartar and mix well.


5. Add the flour and mix.


6. Roll the cookie dough into 1.5-inch balls and place them on a cookie sheet. Flatten the cookies with the palm of your hand, or with a fork.


7. Bake for 10 minutes.


Make the Key Lime Frosting


1. In a mixing bowl, add the Butter, Cream Cheese, Sweetened Condensed Milk, Lime Juice, and Powdered Sugar. Mix everything together until it is creamy and smooth.


2. Frost your cookies.


3. Serve and enjoy!
