This is one of my favorite meals to cook for my family. I have always loved French Dip Sandwiches. I love beef of any kind. I used to cook a roast in the oven and then slice it up for the sandwiches. It took a ton more time and effort and honestly, it just wasn’t as good as this recipe. The meat was chewy, even though I cooked it on a low temperature. When make it in the slow cooker the beef is tender and juicy! It only takes about 10 minutes total to make this meal. The flavor is amazing and even little kids love it! It makes the house smell good all day long. You can put it on to cook in the morning, then come home and shred it and you have a delicious dinner that the whole family will love! I will never cook French Dip Sandwiches any other way again. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

Ingredients:

3-4 lb. Beef Roast

2 Tbl. Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper

1 package Au Jus mix

2 c. Water

8 Hoagie Buns

12 slices Provolone Cheese (or Swiss or Havarti Cheese)

Preparation:

1. Heat a frying pan on a medium heat. Pour the Olive Oil in and let it heat up.

2. Pat the Beef Roast dry with a paper towel. Then season both sides with Salt and Pepper. Place the roast in the pan and cook on both sides for 3 minutes each.

3. While the roast is cooking, stir the Au Jus and the Water together in the Crock Pot.

4. Place the Roast in the Crock Pot and turn the heat on low. Cook for 6-8 hours.

5. Shred the Roast and place it back in the juice.

6. Toast a bun, then place the Cheese and the Beef on the bun.

7. Serve with Au Jus. Enjoy!
