Creamed Sweet Pork Chops with Mushrooms
This is one of my favorite meals to make. It is quick and simple to make and so delicious! It is a sweet and salty pork chop with a creamy gravy over the top. This dinner takes minutes to put together and is perfect for a fancy dinner or a quick weeknight meal. My kids all love this meal and always eat it quickly. I love to serve this with mashed potatoes and asparagus with a simple side salad. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!
Preparation:
1. Melt the Butter in a large Frying Pan or Electric Skillet.
2. Place the Brown Sugar in a bowl and press the Pork Chop into the Brown Sugar. Coat each side with the Brown Sugar and then place the Pork Chop in the heated butter and brown on each side. Sprinkle the top with Salt and a little freshly ground Pepper. Repeat with each Pork Chop. Discard the remaining Brown Sugar.
3. Place the Pork Chops in a 9x13 glass baking dish and set aside. Preheat the oven to 300°F.
4. Slice the Mushrooms and sauté them in the same pan that the Pork Chops were cooked in, using the remaining juice and butter that is still in the pan. Cook them until they are tender.
5. Add the Cream and stir it until it is boiling.
6. In a small bowl mix the Cornstarch and the Cold Water. Slowly stir it into the boiling Cream until it thickens. Add the Salt. Then pour the gravy over the top of the Pork Chops.
7. Bake at 300°F for 45-50 minutes.
8. Serve and enjoy!
