This is a modified version of my grandma’s recipe that I loved when I was growing up. I loved her cookies, but I changed a few things to make it even better! This is a delicious, moist chocolate cookie with the perfect banana, chocolate frosting on top. It might sound strange, but this frosting is absolutely delicious! When I made them, my husband was a little skeptical, but he absolutely loved them! These cookies will rival any Crumbl cookies and are simple to make. These cookies don’t last long at our house, and they stay soft and moist. I hope you love these as much as we do!

Ingredients:

Chocolate Cookies

½ c. Salted Butter

½ c. Sugar

½ c. Brown Sugar

1 Egg

½ c. Milk

½ c. Cocoa

½ tsp. Salt

½ tsp. Baking Soda

½ tsp. Vanilla

2 c. Flour

Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes

Chocolate Banana Frosting

1 Banana

½ c. Salted Butter

½ c. Cocoa

2 tsp. Vanilla

¼ c. Milk

3-4 c. Powdered Sugar

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. In a large mixing bowl mix the Butter, Sugar, and the Brown Sugar. Cream it very well.

3. Add the Egg and mix it well.

4. Add the Milk and the Cocoa and mix well.

5. Add the Salt, Baking Soda, and the Vanilla. Mix well.

6. Add the Flour and mix it well.

7. On a greased baking pan, spoon the dough to make the cookies. I like to make large cookies, so I use a big spoon. See the picture.

8. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes. Let them sit for 3-4 minutes on the pan before removing them to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely.

9. Make the Frosting. In a medium mixing bowl mash the Banana until it is smooth. Add the Butter, Cocoa, Vanilla, Milk, and the Powdered Sugar. Mix it well until it is smooth and creamy.

10. Frost the cookies. You can top them with chopped Pecans if you like.

11. Serve and enjoy!
