This is a recipe that a good friend of mine gave to me. The first time I made it, my family went crazy over it. It is so simple, but so delicious! You can serve it over Waffles, Pancakes, German Pancakes, Pumpkin Pancakes, or French Toast. You could even serve it over Vanilla Ice Cream. It only takes about 10 minutes to make it.

Ingredients:

1 c. Buttermilk

1 c. Salted Butter

2 c. Sugar

1 tsp. Baking Soda

2 tsp. Vanilla

2 Tbl. Light Karo Syrup

Preparation:

1. In a large pan…it bubbles up pretty high, so you really do need a large pan…add the Buttermilk, Butter, Baking Soda, Sugar, Karo Syrup, and Vanilla.


2. On medium heat, heat all the ingredients until it starts to boil. You will need to stir it constantly. When it starts boiling, boil it for 5 minutes and then take it off the heat.


3. Serve hot with Pancakes, Waffles, French Toast, German Pancakes, Pumpkin Pancakes, or Ice Cream.


4. Enjoy!
