This is an amazing recipe that will need to be added into your summer rotation! This is a recipe that I got from my grandma and it is one of my favorites! I love anything with BBQ sauce on it. This is a homemade BBQ sauce recipe that is simple to make and so delicious! The burger is a homemade patty that is moist and thick and covered in that homemade BBQ Sauce. This burger has tons of flavor and is perfect in every way! Top it with crispy bacon, thick and fresh tomato and lettuce and you have a burger that is restaurant worthy. I also like to add Red Onion to mine and a little extra sauce over the top. This recipe is simple to make and will be a huge hit. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

Ingredients:

BBQ Sauce

1 c. Ketchup

1/3 c. Sugar

½ c. Brown Sugar

¼ c. Molasses

¼ c. Honey

2 tsp. Mustard

1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

¼ tsp. Salt

¼ tsp. Pepper

½ tsp. Liquid Smoke

Hamburgers

1 ½ lb. Ground Beef

1 Egg

1/3 c. Bread Crumbs

¼ tsp. Onion Powder

¼ tsp. Garlic Salt

¼ tsp. Pepper

Toppings

6 Buns

Tomatoes

12 pieces Crispy Bacon

Red Onion, sliced

Pickles

Lettuce

Preparation:

1. Make the BBQ Sauce. In a medium-sized sauce pan combine the Ketchup, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Molasses, Honey, Worcestershire Sauce, Mustard, Salt, Pepper, and the Liquid Smoke. Bring it to a boil while stirring constantly. Then set it aside while you prepare the patties.

2. In a mixing bowl combine the Ground Beef, Egg, Bread Crumbs, Onion Powder, Pepper, and the Garlic Salt. Mix together. Then form patties with ¼ lb. ground beef.

3. Cook hamburgers on a low heat on the grill. When they are mostly cooked through baste each side of the burger with the BBQ Sauce. Finish cooking through and baste again with the BBQ Sauce. Remove from the grill.

4. Serve with your choice of toppings. Toasted Bun, Crispy Bacon, Tomatoes, Pickles, Lettuce, Red Onion.

5. Serve and enjoy!
