Air Fryer Asparagus
This is such an easy side of vegetables that is healthy and tasty! I used to hate asparagus, but cooking it in the air fryer gives it such a good crispy flavor that is almost as good as grilled. When I made this for my kids, they were pretty skeptical, but after they tried it, they devoured it and asked for more! That is always a huge win for me! Kids can be so picky, especially with vegetables!
Preparation:
1. Wash and dry 1 lb. fresh asparagus.
2. Cut an inch off the thick end of the asparagus. It is chewy and hard to eat, so I just remove it before cooking it.
3. Place asparagus in the bottom of the air fryer. Brush olive oil over the asparagus with a pastry brush. The asparagus rolls around easily, so I get both sides brushed so it has a light coating of olive oil.
4. Sprinkle garlic salt over the asparagus and shift it around to make sure that it all has a light sprinkle on it.
5. Cook in the air fryer on 375°F for 9 minutes. I like to open it half way through and shake the asparagus around to make sure it all cooks evenly. You can also sprinkle parmesan cheese on it for a little more flavor! Here is a link to the Air Fryer that I use.
6. Serve and enjoy!
