Snickerdoodles
These are a classic cookie that have been made for generations. I love a good, and especially warm snickerdoodle. These cookies are simple and taste delicious! They also stay fresh for at least a week. I also love the warm cinnamon smell that comes into the house when I bake these. They are perfect for a fall day.
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. Cream the Butter and the Sugar. Add the Eggs and cream it really well.
3. Add the Salt, Cream of Tartar, Baking Soda, and the Vanilla.
4. Add the Flour and mix well. You should be able to roll the dough into a ball. If it is too sticky, then add ¼ c. flour at a time to make it the right consistency.
5. Mix the Sugar and the Cinnamon together in a small bowl.
6. Grease a cookie sheet. Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls, or bigger if you want bigger cookies. Roll each ball of dough in the Cinnamon Sugar until it is completely coated. Place the ball of cookie dough on the baking sheet and spread each one at least 2 inches apart.
7. Bake the cookies for 8 minutes. Let them sit on the pan for a few minutes to set up before you move them to a cooling rack.
8. Serve and enjoy!
