These are one of my favorite treats. I love to make these for potlucks or game day parties. I also make them often during the summer when I have tons growing in the garden. I love the spiciness of the peppers combined with the bacon and cream cheese filling. They are good hot or cold and they are simple to make. I prefer to eat them without being wrapped in bacon because they are easier to eat and not as messy. This recipe still has the bacon flavor but it is much simpler to make. This recipe is delicious! I hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients:

10 Jalapeños

1 package Cream Cheese

3 Green Onions, minced

1 ½ tsp. Garlic Salt

¼ c. Mozzarella Cheese

½ c. Cheddar Cheese

1/3 c. Bacon Bits

1 c. Shredded Cheese for the tops

Bake at 400°F for 12 minutes

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. Chop the Jalapeños in half lengthwise and scoop all the seeds and pulp out.

3. Chop the Green Onions finely.

4. In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the Cream Cheese, Green Onions, Garlic Salt, Mozzarella Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, and the Bacon Bits. Mix it well.

5. Scoop the Cream Cheese filling into the peppers and fill them until the filling is even with the pepper. You can heap it, but it may spill out when it is baking. Place the Jalapeños on a baking sheet.

6. Sprinkle Cheddar Cheese on top of the peppers.

7. Bake at 400°F for 12 minutes.

8. Serve and enjoy!
