This is one of my favorite appetizers! It is also one of my family’s favorites! We eat this every Thanksgiving and Christmas without fail. It is also so simple! You can make it to take to a party or for a fancy dinner. It will always be a huge hit!

Ingredients:

2 cans Whole Water Chestnuts

1 lb. Bacon

1 small container of your favorite BBQ Sauce (I enjoy Sweet Baby Rays)

Preparation:

1. Cut the Bacon in half. Fry the bacon on each side for about 2 minutes. You don’t want it cooked all the way through. You want to still be able to move it easily. See the picture for an example.

2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

3. Drain the Water Chestnuts. Wrap 1 piece of bacon around each Water Chestnut and poke a toothpick through to hold it together. Place it in a small baking dish.

4. Pour the BBQ Sauce over the bacon bites until they are completely covered.

5. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.

6. Serve and enjoy!
