Grandma’s Layered Peach Dessert
This is a recipe that I received from my grandma. I remember going to her house when I was a teenager and eating this dessert. She loved peaches as much as I do and had a few peach trees. When peaches were ripe, she always made a yummy dessert to share. I remember loving this one, although she was a little dissatisfied with how it turned out. (She was pretty picky about things being perfect). I found this recipe several years after she passed away and was excited to make it again. It was just as delicious as I remember it! My family all loved it! This is a light and delicious dessert and if you love fresh peaches, then this recipe is for you. In my opinion, peaches are the best fruit on earth. This recipe is simple to make and will wow everyone around you. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a medium-sized bowl combine the Butter, Flour, Brown Sugar, and the Chopped Pecans. Mix it well. Then press it evenly into a greased 9x13 glass baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely. Click here for the glass baking sheet that I use and love!
3. In a medium-sized bowl cream the Cream Cheese, Powdered Sugar, and the Cool Whip. Spread it on top of the crust. Refrigerate for an hour.
4. In a saucepan, mix the Sugar and the Cornstarch. Stir in the water and cook it over a medium heat until it is clear and slightly thickened. Then add the Peach Jello and cook another 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
5. Slice the Peaches and stir them into the Jello mixture. (It will still be hot). Pour over the top of the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for 4-6 hours.
6. Serve and enjoy!
