Fry Bread
This is something that my grandma made all the time. She loved to serve this with Tomato Soup. I also grew up eating this with butter or honey. You can also use this recipe to make Navajo Tacos, which are also delicious! You can make this with any bread dough, but I really like to make it with my fluffy roll dough.
Ingredients:
Preparation:
1. Make your dough. You can find the dough recipe here. After the dough has risen to double, heat your oil in an electric skillet, in a deep fryer, or in a pan on the stove. I like to use my electric skillet so that I can make more at a time. I heat it to 350°F.
2. Take a ball of dough about 3 inches in diameter and either flatten it with your hands, or roll it out to make it flat. Place it in the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it is golden brown on both sides.
3. Remove it from the oil and place it on a dry paper towel so absorb any excess oil.
4. Serve it with butter, honey, or as a Navajo Taco. If you would like to have a recipe for Navajo Tacos, click Here.
5. Enjoy!
