I am always a huge fan of Rice Krispie Treats! In fact, I make them often to bring to potlucks or to take treats and goodies to friends and neighbors. They are simple to make and everyone loves them! I have always loved colored marshmallows, but have never tried them in Rice Krispie Treats. They are so delicious and make such a cute pastel treat for spring or for Easter. If you are hosting a party or are celebrating with family, this will be a huge hit. My kids love them. The Rice Krispie Treats are soft and filled with gooey marshmallow. It is fun to use sprinkles, but make sure that you get soft sprinkles. I made the mistake of using hard sprinkles and wasn’t my favorite. You can make these without sprinkles and they are still fun and festive. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!
Preparation:
1. Butter a 9x13 glass baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl combine the Rice Krispies, Colored Marshmallows, and the Sprinkles (if you want to add them). Stir to combine.
3. In a large saucepan melt the Butter on a medium heat. Stir in the Mini Marshmallows and continue to stir until they are all melted and gooey. Then stir in the Vanilla.
4. Pour the Marshmallow mixture into the Rice Krispies and stir it until it is mixed well.
5. Pour the Rice Krispies into the 9x13 glass baking dish. Press them down to make them even.
6. Serve and enjoy!
