This is a delicious cookie that I had fun re-creating. I am a huge fan of gummies of any kind, and gummy sharks are one of my favorites! This cookie is very simple to make and will delight kids and adults alike. The cookie is soft and moist. There is no need to roll it out. You can roll it in a ball, flatten it a little with your hand and bake it. It has a delicious cream cheese icing over the top and the delicious gummy shark on top of that. You can eat the shark by itself, or as part of the cookie. Either way it is fun and yummy! This could be a fun birthday party treat or fun cookies to put in the kid’s lunches for school. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

Ingredients:

Cookies

1 c. Salted Butter

1 c. Brown Sugar

1 c. Sugar

2 Eggs

1 c. Sour Cream

2 tsp. Baking Powder

1 tsp. Salt

2 tsp. Vanilla

4 ½-5 c. Flour

Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes

Cream Cheese Icing

½ c. Salted Butter

8 oz. Cream Cheese

2 tsp. Vanilla

¼ c. Milk

4 c. Powdered Sugar

1-2 drops Blue Food Coloring

24-48 Gummy Sharks

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl mix the Butter, Brown Sugar, and the Sugar. Cream it well.

3. Add the Eggs and the Sour Cream and mix well.

4. Add the Baking Powder, Salt, and the Vanilla. Mix well.

5. Add the Flour and mix well. You should be able to roll the dough without it sticking to your hands.

6. Roll the dough into 1 ½-2 inch balls of dough. Place them on a greased baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then move them to a cooling rack and let them cool completely.

7. Make the Cream Cheese Frosting. In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the Butter, Cream Cheese, Vanilla, Milk, and Powdered Sugar. Mix them well. Then add a drop or 2 of Blue Food Coloring and mix it until it is uniform in color.

8. Frost the cookies. Place 1 or 2 Gummy Sharks in the middle.

9. Serve and enjoy!
