Cream Cheese Brownies
These brownies are absolutely delicious! I received this recipe from my grandma. It is the perfect combination of chocolate and cheesecake. These are incredibly moist and easy to make. This makes a big batch, so it is the perfect recipe to share. Everyone will be asking you for the recipe!
Ingredients:
Brownie Batter
½ c. Salted Butter
¾ c. Water
¾ c. Cocoa
2 c. Flour
2 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
½ tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
½ c. Sour Cream
Cream Cheese Filling
2- 8 oz. Packages Cream Cheese
¾ c. Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
Topping
2 c. Chocolate Chips
Bake 375°F for 20-25 minutes
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. In a small saucepan, melt the Butter. Add the Water and the Cocoa and mix it until it is smooth.
3. In a mixing bowl combine the Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, Salt, Vanilla, Eggs, Sour Cream, and the Chocolate mixture. Mix it until it is smooth.
4. Spread the Brownie Batter in the bottom of a greased 11x15 baking sheet.
5. In a small mixing bowl make the Cream Cheese filling. Mix the Cream Cheese, Sugar, Egg, and the Vanilla until it is smooth and creamy.
6. Spoon the Cream Cheese mixture onto the Brownie Batter. Drop it by spoonsful evenly. See the picture for an example.
7. Take a butter knife or a rubber spatula and cut through the batter to marble the cream cheese mixture and the brownie batter. I like to go both horizontally and vertically. It should be marbled, and not mixed in completely. See the picture for an example.
8. Sprinkle the Chocolate Chips on top.
9. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
10. Cool. Then Serve and enjoy!
