This is a delicious chocolate chip cookie! I love anything with browned butter and I love chocolate chip cookies, so the combination is just perfect! I wanted a soft cookie because most of the recipes I have tried have had a good flavor, but the cookie is hard. I set out to make the perfect, soft cookie and this recipe is the result! They are soft and moist and full of that brown butter flavor. These cookies are simple to make and make the house smell so good. You don’t have to refrigerate the dough at all. They stay soft and are good warm or cold. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

Ingredients:

1 c. Salted Butter

1 ¼ c. Brown Sugar

½ c. Sugar

2 Eggs

2 tsp. Baking Powder

1 tsp. Salt

2 tsp. Vanilla

3 c. Flour

2 c. Chocolate Chips

Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes

Preparation:

1. In a medium-sized saucepan cook the Butter on a medium heat until it is dark brown and bubbly. It will be hard to see the color of the butter because there will be so many frothy bubbles on top. Remove the Butter from the heat and add the Brown Sugar and the Sugar. Stir it in and let it cool. I let it sit for about 20-30 minutes.

2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

3. In a medium-sized mixing bowl add the Butter and Sugar mixture. Add the Eggs and mix them in until it is creamy and smooth.

4. Add the Baking Powder, Salt, and the Vanilla. Mix it in well.

5. Add the Flour and the Chocolate Chips. Mix well.

6. Roll the dough into balls of dough that are about 2 inches in diameter. Place them on a greased baking sheet. Flatten the balls with the palm of your hand.

7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.

8. Let the cookies sit on the pan for 3-4 minutes, then move them to a cooling rack.

9. Serve and enjoy!
