If you love Jalapeño Poppers, or jalapeños in general, then you will love this delicious cheeseball recipe! I was given this idea because I made a delicious dip for the new year. My sister-in-law tried it before I baked it and liked it cold and told me I should try the recipe in cheeseball form. I like the idea and decided to give it a shot! I made it for my family and they all loved it! This cheeseball has tons of flavor and is super simple to make. This would be great for your game day traditions or New Years. It would be great for potlucks or any holidays. You can make it hot by adding the seeds, or you can make it milder, but with the same flavor. Make it how you like it! I hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

Ingredients:

3-8 oz. Packages Cream Cheese

4 Jalapeño Peppers *see the note in the alterations section about Jalapeños

1 Bunch Green Onions

1 c. Shredded Cheese

1 c. Bacon Bits

1 ½ tsp. Garlic Salt

Topping

1 c. Shredded Cheese

1 c. Bacon Bits

Preparation:

1. Chop the Jalapeños and the Green Onions in small pieces. I like to use a Food Processor. Place them in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

2. Add the Cream Cheese, Shredded Cheese, Bacon Bits, and the Garlic Salt. Mix it up well.

3. Scoop it into a ball and roll it in Shredded Cheese and Bacon Bits. Place it on a dish.

4. Serve and enjoy!

Alterations

  • Not all Jalepenos are created equal. I said 4 Jalepenos in this recipe, but those are 4 that are about 1 1/2 inches long. If they are 3 inch long Jalepenos, then maybe do 2 1/2 or 3. You can also make it spicy by adding the seeds.
