Cooking Myths
Myth #1 - Wet and Dry Ingredients
Do I need to add all my dry ingredients, then my wet ingredients in a separate bowl, and then mix them together afterwards?

Answer
Almost always the answer is "No". I know most recipes say to mix the dry ingredients and then the wet ones separately and then to mix them together (sometimes adding them together bit by bit), but it is usually not needed. I generally mix the wet ingredients, and then dump the dry ingredients into the same bowl. I have done this on hundreds of recipes and it rarely makes a difference.

Most exceptions to this rule are when making cookies, or beating egg whites.

So just simplify and throw it all together and mix it up!
